This certificate provides students with a working knowledge of Spanish: the ability to comprehend, read, write, and speak Spanish at least at the intermediate level. It includes vocabulary and techniques specific to the field of law enforcement, including the names of weapons and the Miranda Rights. The certificate includes extensive study of intermediate vocabulary and grammatical structures as well as cultural studies of both Spain and Latin America.
