Wisconsin Technical College Phlebotomy Programs

The Phlebotomy local certificate teaches infection control and blood-collecting techniques, including venipuncture and skin punctures, to provide samples necessary for lab analysis. Students will also learn techniques and procedures needed to assist with various lab procedures, including some specimen processing and CLIA-waived testing in Hematology, Immunology and Chemistry. Students participate in a Phlebotomy Practicum at local healthcare facilities during the last 4 weeks of the program.
