Library & Information Services Programs

Become an information specialist! Libraries are often among the first place people go for assistance and information. If you have strong organization and customer service skills, CVTC’s new Library & Information Services program is the right choice for you. Gain real experience working in a library that will prepare you for a career at a public library, non-profit, school, or government organization. Upon completion of the program, you may gain employment as a Circulation Supervisor, Education Paraprofessional, Library Assistant, Library Technician, Media Specialist, or Register of Deeds.

The Library & Information Services program is 100% online – which means you can study at a time that works best for you. This program is financial aid eligible, with no program textbooks to purchase and the option to receive credit for prior learning, which means you’ll earn your diploma at a fraction of the cost than at a four-year university. This program is a continuing education option for Wisconsin public library directors and K-12 teachers. Program credits will also transfer to UW-Milwaukee’s online IST bachelor degree program if you choose to continue your education.
