The Forensic Science Associate Degree program is designed to prepare you for entry-level forensic science jobs in the public and private sector. Examples include crime scene technician, crime scene specialist, identification lab technician, evidence custodian, evidence and property specialist, and forensic technicians. Jobs are found in police departments and other government agencies, private investigation firms, private forensic laboratories, and investigation divisions of insurance companies and law firms. Students will learn to identify, document, collect, preserve and analyze physical evidence, including biological evidence such as DNA, as well as fingerprints and footwear impressions, trace evidence, tool marks, and much more. This program is designed to enable graduates to continue their education at an accredited four-year institution for professional and career growth.
